SERVICED Sept. 2026\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe Regate was developed specifically for yacht racing, allowing the wearer to follow the countdown leading up to the start of a race. Aquastar patented this later system in the 1970s, using five circular apertures and a rotating colored indicator to display a 10-minute countdown.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis self-winding watch is powered by the Lemania caliber 1345, an automatic movement developed with a dedicated regatta countdown mechanism. The movement features 22 jewels and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses a central countdown seconds hand together with the five colored apertures across the upper portion of the dial.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eWhen the countdown is activated, the five apertures begin blue. During the first five minutes they progressively change to red; during the following five minutes they change from red to silver. Once all five apertures are silver, the full 10-minute countdown has elapsed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe silver-tone dial features applied baton hour markers, luminous hands, a bold orange central countdown hand, and an outer minute scale. Five circular apertures between approximately 10 and 2 o’clock display the blue, red, and silver stages of the countdown.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe 39mm stainless steel case has a tonneau-style profile with an integrated fixed bezel, a black crown at 3 o’clock, and a single countdown pusher at 2 o’clock.
