The GG-W-113 were utilized most commonly in the Vietnam War, but may also have been deployed in conflicts within the Persian Gulf and other middle eastern theatres.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eAll of these watches will bear case back markings with contract type, federal stock number, manufacturing part number, contract number, manufacture month and year, and serial number.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIn addition to the military issue GG-W-113, Benrus also produced a civilian version that is known to collectors as the “Bullit”. The “Bullit” was famously worn by Steve McQueen in the 1968.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eToday, we are presenting this stunning timepiece, a GG-W-113 Benrus wrist watch, dated from October 1974. It is a manual wind watch, 17 jewels movement, hacking mechanism, Swiss made. It is also shock resistant, waterproofness and antimagnetic. It has a perfect black dial with 12 hours in Arabic Numerals, an inner ring marking 24-hour time, and a 60-increment seconds index with darts indicating the hour positions. Also, luminous hands using radioactive.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eThe case is also almost perfect, it is a round stainless steel case with a matte or parkerized finish. \u003cem\u003e\"Parkerization is a method of protecting a steel surface from corrosion through the application of a chemical phosphate conversion.\"\u003c\/em\u003e Perfect in extreme weather and under heavy use. It is in good condition! A beautiful +70 years old precious timepiece in perfect working order. It is a manual wind watch caliber ETA 1220, 17 jewels movement, sub second hand, Swiss made.\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cbr data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eIt has a rectangle case and very unique fancy lugs design, all in 10K yellow gold filled. The case has minor scratching on the back edge and bezel. It has a fancy crystal shape in good condition. After 70 years, it still has the original dial with gold Arabic Numerals, dots and matching hands. It has some minor patina developing on the dial, but as you can see, it is in nice shape.
